It’s called turmeric, also known as Indian saffron. Do believe me when I say this miracle spice works wonders on your skin. There’s a good reason this is called “The Queen of Spices” and Indian brides use turmeric face masks and body scrubs before their coveted weddings. This has been a tradition for thousands of years.

When turmeric paste is applied to your skin, you will notice a golden tint on your skin which you’ll absolutely love and want to keep for a long time. That bronze and beautiful glow can be achieved if you use turmeric pastes on your skin. You can even try safe and natural turmeric supplements for this purpose. With the right combination of certain ingredients, you can create turmeric face masks at home that could also treat a variety of skin conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, dry skin, and dark circles. How do you get radiant beautiful skin that can get everyone talking? Use the following turmeric face masks for face, daily and see for yourself!

Turmeric Face Mask for Acne Scars

This mask is so easy to make, all you need is just 10 minutes. Apple cider vinegar is great to prevent and reduce acne breakouts. So if you’re dealing with acne issues, use this turmeric face mask daily and see the magic.

Mix ½ tsp turmeric spice powder, ½ tbsp raw and organic honey, ½ tsp milk (you could use yogurt instead), ½ tsp apple cider vinegar and 1 drop of lemon or any essential oil, such as jojoba oil in a small bowl. Create a paste out of the mixture, consistent enough to stick to your face. Don’t make it too thin.

Wash your face and hands with lukewarm water and remove all makeup and impurities. Apply the mixture carefully on your facial skin, avoiding the eye regions. Let the mask sit on your face for around 20 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. If you have any leftover paste, you can refrigerate it for next use. Apply the turmeric paste twice every week to get rid of acne scars. Turmeric can easily stain clothes and other items, so don’t let it drip while using it.

Turmeric Face Mask to Lighten Skin

Does your skin have scars and dark blemishes, annoying spots here and there? Do you seek a remedy that can help reduce such darkened regions and give your face the subtle bronze glow you have always wanted? Get natural turmeric powder and fresh limes so that you are safe from the harms of pesticides and additives. Make a turmeric face mask by mixing 1 tsp of turmeric powder and 3 tbsps of lime juice. The mixture will be sticky and thick. Apply to darkened regions or your whole face if that’s what you prefer. Then wash the mask off after 15 minutes with lukewarm water. When washing there is no need of using soap. Soaps could prevent the effects of turmeric and lime. You can use this mask daily until your skin becomes free of dark patches and spots. As an additional ingredient you could use essential oils. These oils would allow better penetration of turmeric. There’s no particular measurements in this case. You could add as much oil as you need to, according to the consistency you prefer. Olive oil, coconut and almond oils can also be used in this case.

Kaolin Clay Turmeric Face Mask

You could have dry skin, oily skin, or a combination of both. Fortunately, this mask has you covered (literally!). It’s great for all skin types, so you won’t have to worry about uneasy sensations when using it.

Before making the mask, I suggest you disinfect all utensils with bleach water solution. This includes bowls, blenders, spoons and spatulas that you’ll need to create this face mask. This way your face mask will be uncontaminated and free of germs. Once you’re done with disinfection, get ready to make the mask.

Take 6 oz. of kaolin clay in a bowl. Then in another container (should be heatproof), mix 1.3 ounces of avocado oil, 1 oz. of emulsifying wax and 1 oz. of meadowfoam oil. Put the container containing this mixture into a microwave oven and wait for a minute or so, until you observe that the wax has fully melted. The container will be hot, so be careful when you take it out of the oven.

Now take another container and heat 21 oz. of distilled water in the microwave oven till you see the temperature reaching around 170 degrees F. If it evaporates a bit, add more water, but the amount of water should be constant. Both the wax and water containers should be at around the same temperature. If you see the wax has cooled down, heat it again but the temperatures of both containers must remain the same. Get rid of any bubbles you see in the water. Now pour the oily wax mixture into the water in a blender and start the machine. You’ll see a milky consistency and emulsification. Stop the machine and then add kaolin clay a bit. Blend again and then continue adding the clay bit by bit until all clay has been added. Any clay that sticks to the sides of the walls can be scraped down by a spatula.

Check if the temperature of the mixture is 140 degrees F. If it is, you can add 2 ml of carrot seed essential oil and ½ oz. of carrot extracts. Ensure that the ingredients have been properly mixed. Now add 0.2 oz of turmeric powder. Continue to blend until you see that all the ingredients have combined well and are looking emulsified.

Keep this mixture in jars and ensure there are no bubbles. Allow the temperature to lower down. Be very careful while making this face pack. Don’t cover the jars while cooling because condensation can ruin the texture of the mask. Apply the mask onto your face except for the eye regions and allow it to sit for 15 minutes approximately. Then rinse it off with warm water. There’s no need for washing face later. This is a great way to beautify your skin without any side effects.

Organic Turmeric Scrub for Face and Body

Just face masks are not enough, right? Exfoliation and deep cleansing are also necessary for the skin, which is why face and body scrubs are required. Rather than wasting tons of cash on expensive scrubs that only sell fake promises, you could make your own scrub at home and use the essence of turmeric for maximum benefits.

To make the scrub, take 1 cup of fine organic sugar, ¼ cup of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of kasturi turmeric (different from the regular turmeric) and 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil. Mix the ingredients together. The vitamin E can increase the shelf life of the scrub, so you can use it for a longer period of time. You could also add some drops of essential oil if you want.

Once you have mixed the ingredients properly, store it in an airtight container. Apply a bit of scrub all over your face in a circular motion on to the dampened skin, then rinse with warm water. Pat the skin dry and you’ll see absolutely youthful, beautiful golden skin in no time! You could, in fact, use this scrub for both body and face.

For added benefits, you can drink turmeric tea or create your own organic turmeric drinks. Turmeric is a healthy beneficial spice that is a staple in Indian curry recipes and foods. Most of their skincare and beauty routines involve turmeric, because why not? From face masks to scrubs to lotions and even soaps, turmeric has always been good for skin and overall health. Turmeric contains curcumin, the active ingredient responsible for the vast majorities of benefits turmeric provides. With the help of these face masks and the homemade scrubs that I have suggested you can become the beauty queen you truly deserve to be. Get rid of scars, blemishes, spots and fine lines that dulled your skin. Bring out the radiance in you! Even men can feel free to use these scrubs. Trust me, it’ll help!
